IT WAS A DUTY.
THEY ALL HAD JOBS AT HOME TO CARE FOR AND PROVIDE FOR THEMSELVES ON THEIR FARMS, AND LOCAL JOB OBLIGATIONS!
THEY DID NOT LIVE IN DC.
THEY HAD CONGRESS IN SESSIONS ESTABLISHED WITH THE RANCHING AND FARMING SEASONS IN MIND, SO THAT THEY COULD PROVIDE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES AS WELL MEET WITH THEIR STATES PEOPLES TO DISCUSS WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND WHAT RULES AND REGULATION PROPOSALS THEY WOULD SUPPORT AND THOSE THEY WOULD NOT!
EACH STATE, THEN AND NOW HAD/HAS DIFFERENT CONCERNS AND NEEDS.
WHILE I AM SO PROUD AND THANKFUL FOR THOSE IN DC/WH WHO TAKE NO GOVERNMENT SALARY AND WORK FOR THE PEOPLE...
WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO REMEMBER THAT WE THE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SELFLESS PUBLIC SERVANTS SINCE AMERICA'S INCEPTION.
WE THE PEOPLE WORK FOR FREE AT FOOD BANKS, IN HOSPITALS, IN RETIREMENT HOMES, AT VETERAN AND RETIRED PEOPLES OUTREACHES, AT MEALS ON WHEELS, AT CHURCH DAYCARE, AT SCHOOLS, AT KIDS PUBLIC SPORTS RECREATION...THE LIST OF FREE PUBLIC SERVICES WE THE PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS PROVIDED IS ENORMOUS.
JESUS TAUGHT THIS SELFLESS SERVANT ATTITUDE BY EXAMPLE.
WE NEED TO REMEMBER THIS AND HONOR THEM!
